- Weak keep. If you check the previous deletion discussion, you'll see that I was the campus ambassador for the class that developed this article. (Or rather, the class in which the student developing this article was enrolled.) The article has many flaws, and I'd hoped that they would be addressed before the end of the semester, and I agree that as written I agree it doesn't show notability. That said, I think a good article with proper secondary sourcing is possible for this topic, but in all honesty I don't believe the student authors are going to do more work on this article any time soon. I could be convinced that deletion is the right move here, though I worry that would rule out a better future article being written by other editors. - Keep. There is significant coverage in Boston Globe and other sources. From a search on a non-free newspapers database, i find: "FOR HISPANICS, 20 YEARS OF HELP FROM LA ALIANZA", by Hernandez, Efrain. Boston Globe[Boston, Mass] 09 June 1990: p.22. A 989 word article all about the organization and its accomplishments. Suffices, on its own, IMO. Other articles with substantial coverage include:
- "La Alianza Hispana graduates feted". Boston Globe [Boston, Mass] 31 Jan 1993: p13. About the organization's General Equivalency Diploma program for youth having low literacy skills.
- "Allies for La Alianza" Boston Globe [Boston, Mass] 27 June 1994: p10. Article starts with "La Alianza Hispana, Boston's best-known human service agency under Latino control, is starting to heal after a serious self-inflicted wound." It describes the organization's history and problems and supports recent board changes and so on. It seems the organization lost its $100,000 annual funding for the GED program, and its caseworkers failed to address one prominent tragedy promptly, but there was room for hope, blah blah blah. This is major coverage.
- There are 153 in the major newspapers database on the exact string "La Alianza Hispana"; the above 3 articles are early hits among those and suffice already to establish notability, IMO.
